No that’s not what my research is about, but all areas of science are interconnected. In order to fight against the virus, biologists try to understand how the virus infects people and cells, in order to find a cure. Then chemists need to find how to efficiently produce this cure. Mathematicians and statistical physicists try to understand how the epidemics spreads to advise the governments. Scientists in the fields of economy, sociology, psychology, try to evaluate the impact of the measures on the population. Meteorologists can help in understanding how the climate (in particular warm temperatures) influence the spread of the virus. Computer scientists and data scientists agglomerate the data to make them readable and usable for the other teams. Other scientists yet have to find ways to keep the electricity production working during the crisis, and the internet. And it goes on and on. Science is a big interconnected community of people, each field is connected to other fields.
