I always had vague ideas about wanting to be a scientist, but to get here I just kept going academically with science subjects because I liked them, until I had the choice – do you want to stay in and do science or not? And I went for the PhD 🙂

I always wanted to do something related to science, whether it was forensics or dinosaurs or chasing monkeys in the jungle. I ended up doing a biology degree, because it was my favourite science, and then I started learning about ecology, zoology, and conservation science, and then it just grew from there!
