Academically, I’d better be (and I think I am), I’m due to submit my thesis in less than a year!
In life, I’m happy with where I am! There is always more stuff to explore and do though, so my goals are always going to change. Currently, I’m trying to learn my girlfriend’s native Romanian, and get back to where I was on the piano before I left for uni! Both are quite far away, but I have nearly learned “Wet Hands” from the Minecraft soundtrack so that’s a start!
I think there’s always more you can do in science. One of the problems I was asked to solve has been solved, and is now being commercialised, so that’s a goal I’ve acheived 🙂

I handed in my PhD thesis – that was a major goal, and I’m really happy with my job and where I am. But I’m not sure if I am close to achieving any other “life goals” (or what they would be). I try to live in the moment, if I look too far ahead I get worried!
