It can be, but most of the time it is quite flexible. Sometimes we have a big deadline and are asked to work overtime. In terms of the work itself I don’t get too stressed because my team all help each other out.

It can be stressful at times, for instance when you have to publish a paper quickly, or when you apply for a job that you’re never sure to get.
But most of the time it’s not too stressful, it’s even a real pleasure to try to solve these beautiful and complex problems, and discover objects that no one has ever seen before!

I think so. There’s always this big overarching project looming over me, and I can’t run away from it or expect too much help, I have to get it finished eventually. That can make it stressful, like there’s boss music playing all the time or something. Thankfully the gameplay is excellent though if we’re keeping up with that analogy!

It can be, at times, but it’s usually just stressful in a busy way. There have been very few times where my job has been stressful in a “I really don’t want to do this anymore” way. It helps that I have a great team of people around me, who are always ready to help me out if I need it, and some really great, understanding bosses.
